Ginegar Plastic Products Ltd., established in 1969, is Israel’s largest developer and producer of Greenhouses cover films and mulch films for open field cultivation. Ginegar Plastic Products Ltd. is unique by virtue of its ability to combine expertise in plastic technology, agronomic know-how, as well as an intimate familiarity with the needs of growers who are our ultimate end users, worldwide. The Ginegar Product Development Team, made up of experienced agronomists, plastic technicians and engineers, acquired this know-how through decades of experience in the field as well as on the production floor in the plant at Kibbutz Ginegar. Ginegar Plastic Products Ltd. produces polyethylene films for a variety of applications. * Agricultural films for greenhouse covers. * Mulch films for open field or low tunnel cultivation or for perennial orchard crops. * Barrier films for soil fumigation with noxious chemicals. * Thick HDPE films for pond and reservoir liners. * Heavy duty bags for chemicals fertilizers. * Other non-agricultural uses. Most of Ginegar’s production is based on polyethylene and its derivatives LDPE, HDPE, EVA, LLDPE. The films are produced largely on multi-layer (co extrusion) blown film extruders. In addition the plant has two multi layer cast (flat die) extruders which produce embossed films, almost exclusively mulches. Ginegar Plastic Products Ltd. was one of the pioneers in the introduction of large size multi-layer extruders for the production of agricultural films back in the 1980’s including a machine capable of producing 16 meter wide, three layer films for use as greenhouse covers and/or mulches. In 2001 Ginegar was the first (and to this day the only) producer of agricultural polyethylene films to install a large 5-layer extruder capable of producing films up to and including 12 meters of width. This extruder enables Ginegar to produce films capable of enhanced performance with respect to the optical, physical and surface functional (anti drip) properties of the films we offer. GREENHOUSE COVER FILMS Our films have one or more of the following characteristics. The films are available in various combinations of these characteristics: Anti-Virus, Anti-Drip, IR (Thermicity), Anti-Mist, Anti-Dust, UV Blocking, UV Transmittance, Shading, Light Diffusion. MULCH FILMS FOR SOIL PROTECTION AND DISINFECTION Ginegar has a combined production system for Mulch films of blown film co-extrusion, and of flat die extrusion which produces embossed films with improved mechanical properties. The films also have the following characteristics: Increasing of ground temperature, prevention of weeds and pests. LINER FILMS Ginegar produces liner films for sealing and soil engineering, of HDPE, PP, LDPE in blown film co-extrusion, in thickness of up to 1.5mm and in width of up to 6.5 Meters. FUMIGATION Ginegar produces a unique 5-layer barrier film to prevent the escape of noxious soil fumigants such as Methyl Bromide, virtually impermeable film at 35 microns of thickness (comes in various colours) Ginegar Plastic Products Ltd. complies with the Quality Management Standard SI ISO 9001 : 2000
